Superhero fans and Real heroes don’t wear capes

My daughter asked me last night if I’d watch the kiddos so her and hubby could have a date night and see the new Spiderman movie when it comes out. Of course! I love to feel a part of making sure they have that needed “us” time AND get time with the grands. Woot! They are huge Marvel fans as am I, and I have a lot of real life heroes in my life. My brother-in-law saved a man having a heart attack and he always hits the regular blood donations for his super rare blood type. My sis is a hero of animal and a true friend. My daughter, well she’s my biggest hero, battling everything that comes along with a fierce warriors soul. Tonight, however, my grandson got to witness true heroism in action. His dad rushed into a burning house to save a neighbor. A selfless act of bravery and humanitarianism. There are so many men and women that put their own lives at risk to help their fellow humans every day but I have never had the pleasure of calling one son-in-law. It brings me such peace in the knowledge that my grandson will grow up with that image of what true heroism is and the example of how to be a real champion for humanity. “For a true hero isn’t measure by the size of his strength, but the strength of his heart.” Zeus would be proud, Herc.
